Brooklyn Jam Redux!

Folks, let's jam freestyle and explore our musicality - this time in hipstertown!

An ideal mix would be:
- 2-3 x guitars/bass
- 1 x drums (please bring your own drum sticks)
- 1 x keys (optional)
- 1 x any other solo instrument! (optional)

If you can play multiple instruments and can switch around and spell others, that would be even more awesome.

Please also indicate your primary instrument in your profile intro (if you need to make changes, you can do so by clicking "Edit your intro" just below your name in the RSVP section) so we can balance out the different roles.

Studio rental cost is $15/hour (includes drums, keys, amps, mic and PA system) and will be evenly divided across all attendees.

I'm new to meet up so this is the first one I'm signing up for. I'm a drummer and can easily bring my own sticks (though happy to see drum gear is provided). I also dabble in piano, so I'd be happy to play both. Haven't played with people in awhile so I'm excited to get this going.

hey folks, i've made reservations at battalion studios (studio a). we're all set! can't wait!

For anyone coming to Battalion for the first time: be aware that the studio is EXTREMELY NOT OBVIOUS from the street. 175 6th St. is not hard to find, but when you get there all you will see is a roll-up gate with "175" painted on it. To find the studio, go into the driveway to the left of 175 (between 175 and Dykes Lumber) and look for a door on your right; there will be a Battalion sign there. Ring the buzzer and they will let you in.

I like Battalion, but they really need to invest in some signs or something.

I'm coming from Manhattan, any advice on what train to take and how to get to the studio?

      May 22, 2014

    • JD

Take the F or R train to the 4th Ave/9th St stop. It's a short walk from there.
