What is the Padlock Party (Lock & Key Event)?
A Lock & Key Event is similar to a happy hour, but with the Lock & Key icebreaker format integrated into it to help connect you with other singles all under one roof, all in one night (age 23+). 

 

Single people from all over New York can now get together for a Valentine’s Day weekend party at K Lounge on Friday, Feb 10 2012, 7:30 pm. The event will comprise opportunities for you to unwind, meet new friends, network, and perhaps find that special person you were waiting for in your life. And, you don’t have to worry if you are not single; wing men, wing women, and wing couples are welcome as well!

How it works:

Upon entry, the following is handed out: 

• Ladies: Padlock, Gentlemen: Keys
  
• Suggested Age range: 22-45 (if you are a little older...no biggie!!)
  
• Check-in: 7:30 - 8:00 PM 
• Mix and Mingle: 8:00 - 11:00 PM 
• Done at 11:00 PM and then stay and party until closing with no cover!!

• $5 Beers & $6 Well Drinks, $6 Wine from 7:30PM - 8:30 PM!
• Other groups invited, over 150 expected.
• Live DJ spinning 
• Meet new people & make new friends.
• Dress Business -casual / trendy attire preferred, not mandatory. (remember: 1st
• Near Times Square, Port Authority, Penn Station, & Grand Central.
• Free Street parking in the area & Parking Garages nearby

In order to guarantee a Padlock/key - you must RSVP.

You are free to approach whomever you like, whenever you like, for as long as you like. You are encouraged to interact with other guests in order to find your “lock and key” match(es) ☺.

What do I do when I "unlock" with someone?
Congratulations! Once you find each other, hang out and have a drink, stroll around the party, or just talk. If there is a match, it is up to you two to take over from there. You're free to ask for or hand out contact information on your own. Your goal is to make as many matches as possible; you can stay with one or keep hunting. 

If you choose to keep searching, simply return the key and lock to host and exchange them for new ones. And start hunting all over again.
