Why you should consider Node.js for your mobile web apps or back end

Node.js is one of the most recent technologies being adopted by top tech companies such as Uber, Twitter, eBay, and Yahoo. You may have heard of Node.js, but know only that it has something to do with “real-time” or “highly scalable” apps. Mobile development is exactly just that. Node.js is a perfect fit for creating mobile web and native app back-ends easier, faster, and scalable. We’ll explore why you should choose Node.js for your mobile development.

Adrian Avendano is a self-proclaimed hacker and entrepreneur. He has deployed his own mobile apps to connect the right people at more than 100 events and festivals, for companies like BMW and NYU, and has received two acquisition offers from a well-known tech company. His current startup, Peoplehunt, connects people who have skills to swap and want to meet face to face. Language exchange is his current focus. His work has been featured at TNW, Yahoo, and The Work Revolution. Adrian recently returned to NYC from the StartupChile program. Adrian was born in Mexico City, raised in New York City, carries an Irish passport, and has lived in Berlin, Copenhagen, Eindhoven, London, Chile and San Francisco, all by age 34. Adrian Avendano is obsessed with meeting and collaborating with new people.

Too bad I can't attend this event. I am a frontend iOS dev. I will appreciate it if you can name some frameworks that can enable me to quickly build a RESTFul backend with Node.js!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
