The New York City Mountain Bikers Meetup Group

NYCMB is for anyone that shares a passion for mountain biking and trail riding. We are a fully volunteer/no charge/no profit like minded group of people who simply gather to share experiences, discover and explore all the wonderful bike trails in our area that nature has to offer and of course, make new friends.

We try to plan different events for all levels of riders, so you don't have to be a downhill racer to be a part of this group. But we do have some pretty strong riders that definitely will make sure you have a great workout if that's what you're after.

We ride as a group to enjoy the event together so no one gets left too far behind and no one is pushed beyond their comfort level.

>>>We ride through woods on fairly rugged terrain so a true "fat tire" mountain bike, preferably with front suspension, is required. A Hybrid bike will not be enough for most of the places we ride.<<<

If someone is tired and can't keep up, they won't be left alone. If someone has a problem with their bike, they'll usually have 3 or 4 other riders vying to help fix it. If someone's hurt, they and their bike will be helped back to the trailhead and home if needed.

No doubt you'll find that mountain bikers are the best kinda people.
