Blue Mountain: Intermediate

There will be an intermediate level ride this Friday. If you've never been, Blue Mountain Reservation has perhaps some of the most challenging set of mountain biking trails in the northeast. Start time will be 12:00pm. We will meet in the upper parking lot. You will need to be able to go over just about anything while maintaining a steady pace. Bring all the usual necessities. Call me if you have any questions.

3 new trails exist so draw them on your map:
Rambler: starts across from where My Favorite ends and goes all the way down to montrose station road by that little parking lot box.
'"S-Plus" Connector trail between Upper sis and the loop part of Baileys.
" Yip" or "Yipper" - where the #44 is(Yang) slightly below that starts this new connector trail to Yin, replacing Y divide. Not sure exactly where it dumps off on Yin but definitely before the 2 trails meet at bottom.

    Josh,
There is a map you can download from Jorba.org. Even with the map, you will get lost. I've been going there now for almost 5 years and am now just getting to know the place very well. You will still have fun though. We will be there on Saturday as well although I am not posting that ride if you're interested.

I spent about 15 mins looking for anything blue mountain on Jorba.org but couldn't find that map to save my life. If you have a link or can point me in the right direction I'd really appreiciate it ;)

I'm working on Friday, but is there a map of the trail so that I may go and try it out when I'm off from work?

Sweet I'm pumped. I'll be landing at the Peekskill station at 9:45am. When you say the upper parking lot you mean the upper parking lot on washington street, not the train station parking lot correct?

@ Josh. Lol!!! Surprisingly it's never crowded. I'm usually there every Saturday or Sunday and sometimes both days. If you ever want someone to show you around so you can learn the trails, hit me up.

    Eric,
Works got me by the you know what's this friday but I'd love to do the ride another time. If I were to go another time with a friend is it easy to find the trails on my own? If not is there a map I can reference? I'll definetly try to play next ride.
