Join the NYC Men Growing Together and other spiritually minded men for a non-sexual, clothes-on ritual honoring the sacred dimensions of male sexuality and desire.

Space is limited and this event is promoted elsewhere, so don't delay.  Although the event is free, pre-registration is required. See below for details.

About this event

About once a month, a group of men gathers in Riverside Park, NYC for a ritual honoring the sacred dimensions of male sexuality and desire. We call it a *lingam puja* (borrowing the Hindu term).

Please note that the ritual itself is non-sexual and fully clothed. We invoke the Divine in its female and male aspects, as goddess and as god. We bear witness to one another's intentions and prayers. We name into the circle those we hold in our hearts.

We walk as a group in meditation around the Phallus and pay individual devotion to it as we're moved. We end with a final group embrace. We meet under a 200-year-old oak, with light glinting off the Hudson. It's a simple but powerful practice with room for whatever you're holding in your body and soul.

There will be a chance to spend some time together afterwards somewhere nearby.

David led a beautiful ceremony, inviting us to honor our sexuality, and to connect with our masculine and feminine. It felt right that we should do this ritual on the land before a grand oak tree. Thanks, David, and all the men who showed up.

Tony, I second Mark's affirmation of the steps you're taking to claim a central part of who you are, and the courage it takes to do that. Blessings on your journey, and if I can be of support as well, through this monthly practice that I lead, or otherwise, I'll be glad for anything I can offer. David

Just came out to my wife. Crazy stuff going on in my home all created by my true sexual orientation. Where will all this go? Any input welcome.

Hi Tony, sounds like you are moving forward toward being fully yourself. Good for you, and understandably challening. You might consider ways to get some resources to support you - perhaps attending some of the weekly community gatherings with Heart Centered Touch http://www.meetup.com... and also signing up for the email resources at http://malehealthytou... - and depending on the type of support you need, working with a coach/mentor like myself. Feel free to email me privately also. Mark

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
