Welcome to the New York City Monopoly Meetup Group! I have been playing Monopoly since I was a child and started collecting Monopoly Games in the 1980's. I currently have over 275 different sets from all over the world (different countries, different cities, themed editions, you name it). My goal is to share my love of this great game with others. I often bring different versions to the meetups to play. Most countries and cities have localized the properties. And I think it's much more fun if you can buy Mayfair or Avenue des Champs-Élysées instead of always buying Boardwalk. If you've ever played Monopoly or would like to learn how to play, come join us. All skill levels are welcome! You don't have to be a pro to enjoy Monopoly. In whatever language, Monopoly still spells FUN! We are a friendly, fun loving group of people that enjoy playing this wonderful board game. So, come and play with us and have fun too!

P.S. - Check out my friend Albert Veldhuis' Monopoly website. He catalogs every Monopoly and Monopoly-like game he can find and lists them all by country. You'll get to see some of my Monopoly Games on his site (Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Japan - Odaiba, Pakistan, South Korea, etc)

I also have a friend in Florida that sells African Art. He travels with his wife to Nairobi, Kenya to bring back paintings by local artists to sell here in the States. He sells a Kenyan Monopoly Game called Kumiliki. It's a beautiful game that comes in both a standard version with plastic houses and game pieces and a premium version with houses and game pieces made out of soapstone. It looks just like Monopoly but with a beautiful board and box (see photos in the photo section). If anyone is interested in buying this game or any of the Artwork he sells you can contact him through his website. http://www.insideafricanart.com/
Thank you Wayne Robinson for starting this group. I would not have made such wonderful friends had you not.
