Our client has an opening for a Talent Coordinator to Assist in the HR recruitment and career development efforts. The client is a major financial publishing company located in midtown, Manhattan. This is a 3-6 month project to start and could potentially be extended beyond that.

 

 

THIS IS NOT AN HR GENERALIST. THIS IS A TALENT COORDINATOR: Provides broad talent support to global business groups supported by regional Head of Talent; Supports priorities for the Americas region based on local business needs and global priorities; Administers regional rollout of leadership and management development programs; Collects data and provide reports on select talent activities; Contributes to continuous improvement of key performance and talent management activities including identifying opportunities to enhance offerings and/or use technology to create efficiencies; Drives and coordinates special projects in the talent space; Provides ad hoc support for regional Head of Talent. *Please note that the manager is not looking for an Admin. She would like to see candidates that can handle the Admin tasks but can do higher level tasks.

*Interview: Manager will be conducting in person interviews (half hour)

Purpose

To support the regional Head of Talent for the Americas in driving company-wide activities and initiatives in the areas of performance management, talent management, career development and leadership development. 

 

Major Responsibilities

Provides broad talent support to global business groups supported by regional Head of Talent; Supports priorities for the Americas region based on local business needs and global priorities; Administers regional rollout of leadership and management development programs; Collects data and provide reports on select talent activities; Contributes to continuous improvement of key performance and talent management activities including identifying opportunities to enhance offerings and/or use technology to create efficiencies; Drives and coordinates special projects in the talent space; Provides ad hoc support for regional Head of Talent

Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel

Basic project management experience needed (1 to 2 years)

Certifications / Education

University degree or equivalent experience 

 

Professional Experience

HR and/or Talent experience; Experience/understanding of role of HR in business; PeopleSoft experience preferred

 

Reporting / Authority:

In this work, you report to the Head of Talent for the Americas and work in close contact with the global Markets Talent Team and different networks within the broader HR organization
