Recruitment Specialist

VNSNY is currently seeking a Recruitment Specialist who will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring quality candidates to meet the organization's staffing needs, with a main focus on rehabilitation therapist recruitment; i.e. physical, occupational and speech.

The Recruitment Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to keep abreast of their recruitment needs, build recruitment strategies to ensure their recruitment needs are met and advise them of recruitment trends and tools. The Recruitment Specialist will also participate in job fairs and other recruitment outreach activities.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

•             Source, evaluate and interview high-caliber, exempt and non-exempt
candidates in the most efficient manner
•             Prepare salary offers utilizing HRIS reports, queries and VNSNY salary
“work-up” spreadsheets to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness
•             Oversee and perform recruitment administration to ensure
Agency/Governmental requirements are met
•             Draft employment advertisements, employee bulletins, and other
materials that accurately and concisely summarize position duties and qualifications
•             Work closely with external advertising agencies to maximize ad content,
obtain cost-effective pricing, and ensure adherence to placement deadlines
•             Identify and analyze unique staffing patterns and trends in recruitment
and health care

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field and at least three years of broad-based, high-volume experience recruiting for positions in a variety of disciplines and levels (e.g., health care, business, technical, and management). Current VNSNY Associate Recruitment Specialists with at least one year of experience at VNSNY and two years of related experience are encouraged to apply. Experience recruiting physical and occupational therapists is preferred. You must have general knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local employment laws, regulations, rules, and practices, as well as excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Knowledge of HRIS systems, Social Media and experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment plans are required. Project Management skills preferred.
