What would you like to get out of NYC Socrates Cafe? How would you define a good conversation?

Good conversation and an increased knowledge of philosophy and how it may be applied to problem solving in our current day and age.

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I have lived all over the world but grew up nearby in CT. I returned to NYC just before 911 and i love it here. I love to read, sail, tennis, the arts, theater, movies and many other activities.

What topic questions would you like to see discussed in this group?

I am an eternal optimist and a bit of an adventure seeker. I have always had an interest in philosophy and tend to blend a classicist and continental school of thought.
