MAKE MUSIC NEW YORK UKULELE STYLE!!!!!

What a way to open the Summer Solstice with!!!!

Come join in the fun this Friday for performances and group play with some great NY ukulele performers as part of Make Music NY - Mass Appeal. Each year, on the Summer Solstice (June 21), MMNY organizes music around the city, and we're helping out with a three-hour ukulele event, after work 5-8pm.

The fun takes place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the William Sheridan Playground (map), which is near the Bedford L station.

Come by to hear performers including Sweet Soubrette, Jamie Scandal, John and Ellen Monten, Mark Dutton and Jessica Delfino. There's also open-mic slots for those wishing to perform, as well as opportunities to play in group songs.

Organized by Rick Bruner and Emceed by Roger Greenawalt, host of the Complete Beatles for Ukulele.

Skyler enjoyed performing his one song. I'm totally impressed with everyone's level of musicianship. I've got a ways to go and am looking forward to the next meet up.

Arranged to get off work early, traveled and had trouble finding the place, to find out nothing was going on. Though I had trouble finding it, and when I did big disappointment to find nothing was going on, it was interesting to see how hopping green point has become, went to the one in manhattan and it was smoking.

Looking forward to bringing our ukuleles somewhere. I'm sure my son will take advantage of the playground, too.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
