Tough to choose between the muscadets from Pepiere and Luneau-Papin.
A vertical of Taylor port back to 1900 with the chairman of the company is right up there. But most recently my week in Beaune in November 2009, ranging from tasting all of Rousseau's, Roumier's and Dujac's 2008s in barrel, to wines back to 1911.
You left out sparkling! Red, white, sparkling, fortified, they're all good as long as they're balanced and show a sense of place.
Same reason as everyone, I hope: I love wine and I love meeting people who share the hobby!
