Announcing a new Meetup for NYC Wine club!
What: Seminar With Winemaker Antonio Bravo of Emiliana Winery
When: October 24, 2009 11:00 AM
Price: $35.00 per person
307 West 38th Street Suite 1910
New York, NY 10018
I am very happy to announce this seminar with the winemaker of Emiliana Winery. Apart from tasting and discussing 10 wines including some Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonays, Carmeneres, Cabernets and Merlots, we will be talking about sustainable, organic and biodynamic winemaking. Join us if you'd like to learn what the differences of these viticultural practices are and how (and if) they are transferred to the taste of the wine.
This is a seminar for only the truly interested and it is the right place to be if you want to talk to someone who has first hand experience with different ways of grape growing and winemaking. Considering this is such a specialty tasting and it is in the morning, I am making this extra affordable at $35 (remember that 10 wines are being tasted). We will do it even if there only 5 people or 35 people show up. It should be a great tasting.
Also, please note that these tastings are very different than the promotional tastings in stores where you stand up and gulp a few different wines while chatting with whoever is around. Those tastings have their place and I really enjoy them as well but this one is a seminar where you're sitting down with the glasses; you can go back and forth among the wines for comparison and you are being given a detailed presentation where you actually have the opportunity to learn something new.
