Highline History Tours and Happy Hour for New Yorkers

This event is being sponsored by several Meet Ups and www.newyorksocialnetwork.com.  The number of rsvp’s below reflect only a portion of those attending.

Our most popular tour!  Our tours are designed for fun and friendly members of NYSN and our partner social networking groups.  This is not a tour for tourists but for people who live in and around NY or who are new to the area who want to learn more about the city they live in and the amazing things they are surrounded by every day!  The Highline is New York’s most popular attraction! The Highline is an elevated freight train trestle that operated in NYC from the 1930’s to the 1980’s. After years of neglect The Friends of The Highline have saved the structure and transformed it into a beautiful park featuring many of the elements from its’ rich history! Your tour guide will share the history of the highline and the surrounding neighborhoods and show you amazing photo’s from before the trestle was built, while it was in operation and what it looked like while abandoned.

Join us for a fun evening of socializing and learning as the sun sets over the Hudson.  Following the tour the group will go to Bone Lick Park for the Happy Hour party. $14 includes the tour only.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
