What do you love the most about vinyl records?

As a DJ I love the control I have. I love the feel under my finger tips, the shine on the drops and buildups. As a music lover vinyl is the only tangible form of actually owning a piece of music. No one care if you say " Oh, I have that on .mp3!"

How long have you been collecting records?

12 years myself, plus the stuff I got from my mom and dad's collection (Can you say original press of the woodstock album?) I have colored vinyl, picture discs

What type of music do you collect on vinyl?

Dubstep, Jungle, Hardcore techno, breakcore, johnny cash, afro cuban, samaba, reagge, metal.

My name is Hector aka DJ Mamajuana aka DJ Nobody. I've been in NYC underground music scene for 12 years now. I still spin strictly vinyl! I support Halcyon on thursdays at Bless Up with a bottle of Mamajuana.
