Would you like to recommend any books for our group to read?

Novice to early beginner.

Can you please tell me a bit about what interests you? What is on your list for FUN?

Its mystique. How it enhances the taste of food. The taste variations between regions, i.e. a Calif Chardonnay vs. A French Chardonnay. What makes some bottles of wine so expensive, and are they worth it?

Since I often host these meetings in my apt, I'd like to know a bit about you. Will you be kind, considerate and well mannered in my apartment and are lacking a criminal record??

I would behave as I'd like someone to behave in my home. No criminal record.

At some of our meetings space is limited will you be conscientious about RSVPing? If a member is a no show or cancels at the last minute they will be removed from the group. Can you agree to this policy?

Of course. Barring an absolutely extreme circumstance I always notify people as far in advance as possible when it's necessary to cancel. It's a matter of common courtesy.

Do you have a favorite region for wine? Old World or New World?

I like good wine and don't care where it's from. In 2003 I attended a cooking/wine tasting class in Tuscany and went to tastings and vineyards. Was very impressed. Even the inexpensive wines in the supermarkets were very very good.

Introduction

Would like to learn more about wine. Like the idea of a small groupand quiet environment where it's easier to talk. A nice way to end the workweek and begin the weekend.
