I'm actually sort of regretting signing up bc it was so expensive and it looks like I'll be completely on my own. I thought it was a meetup event and I would have at least a small group to hang out with, but now I realize it's kind of a "fin for yourself" deal. If I do find a place to stay in Montauk by myself and take the train home on Sunday, will someone from the event transport by bike to Penn Station? If so, who will watch over it until I can pick it up????

Lena, I'm doing the 30 miler and the pick-up is in Manhattan. I can't tell by Nina's comments if she is staying in Montauk Friday night or Saturday night? It might be good to stay overnight on Saturday night but I'm not sure how to get my bike home since the trains aren't allowing bikes that week-end. I think maybe they will transport the bikes home in a van or something, from what I could tell on the website. It was a bit confusing!
