UPDATE: MIKE SENDS HIS REGRETS THAT THE WORKSHOP LEADER IS VERY ILL THIS MORNING AND THE ENTIRE WORKSHOP IS CANCELLED! MIKE FEELS VERY BADLY ABOUT IT. APOLOGIES TO ALL.
Michael Swiskay, one of our first members, is writer in residence at the Simon Studio. On December 1, come hear a live reading of his newest feature screenplay, Orbiting Ezmerelda.
The reading will take place at the Arthur Seelen theatre, the downstairs performance space of the Drama Book Shop, 250 West 40th Street, between 7th and 8th avenues.
In case you haven't been to Drama Bookshop, it is a great venue for a reading, and hosts a priceless inventory of scripts and screenplays (no, you can't find them all on Amazon. I've tried.) So come and check out what Mike is doing, and you will probably at the same time find that screenwriting book you've been looking for.
In it, brutal economics will spur an artists suicide and dissolve a marriage such that the next step for the maternally obsessed protagonist...artificial insemination.
Entrance is FREE.
