Here is an update for members of The Irish in New York meetup group.

First, cead mile failte (a hundred thousand welcomes) to all the new members that have joined in the past month. You have joined an excellent group!

We are approaching a milestone as we will soon have our 400th member.
Please feel free to invite a friend or two to join. It is easy (and free) to join, all they have to do is set up an account with if they don't already have one.
They can join at
or, an easy to remember URL for this group:

I am also happy to announce that Irish in NY member Patrick Murphy has become an Assistant Organizer for our group. He is one of our most active and enthusiastic members, so I am sure he will do an excellent job.

Be sure to visit our events calendar, which lists all of our meetups as well as other events of interest to the Irish community in NY:

Kudos to all the Assistant Organizers and members that put together some great meetups in September & October. We attended plays (including the First Irish theater festival), The Craic short film festival, Sundays at Seven at The Irish Arts Center, heard live music from Stephen's Green and witnessed Cork win the All-Ireland football final.

We have an excellent line-up of events in the coming months, with more to be added soon.
I encourage you to get involved!
