Hi Christopher,

I'd join you, though I don't follow, just for the fun of being there when Ireland wins, but paying $20 just to cross the doorway is too much for me not that I haven't been working for several months.?

Hope all is well with you. ?

All the best,
Linda

Announcing a new Meetup for The Irish in New York Meetup Group!

What: Soccer World Cup Qualifier - 2st Leg - France vs Ireland

When: November 18,[masked]:30 PM

Where:
StoutNYC
133 West 33rd Street Cellar @ the Dart Alley
New York, NY 10001
[masked]

This is it folks, everything's on the line. this is truly a must see event. Kick off is at 3pm so we'll convene downstairs at 2.30pm to convene a spot. Depending on the numbers of folks who sign up, I'll book a table (near the screen with the audio). Based on our 1st leg experience we now know where the very best place is to watch the game from is. For the uninitiated, this is the second of two games with France, the first one was played on Saturday at Croke Park in Dublin and unfortunately France won that game 1-0. Now to qualify for the World Cup Finals in South Africa in 2010, Ireland must win this second leg game in Paris by one clear goal to have a chance of advancing. A 1-0 win for Ireland will mean 30mins. extra time and if the overall score for both games is still tied after that, the dreaded penalty shoot out. If Ireland win 2-1 or 3-2, they will advance as in the event of the scores being tied over the two legs, the team with the most away goals goes through.

We're going back to Stout in Midtown, follow this link for directions and exact location. http://www.stoutnyc.com/press.html What this places lacks in Game Day atmosphere, it makes up for in comfort and space.

There is a $20 cover charge payable at the door to the Setanta bouncer looking guy.

Any questions drop me a line. I'll give you my cell phone number to all who RSVP yes.
