Excerpts from Nicholas Bergson-Shilcock's message of Mon Nov 30 13:03:23 [masked]:
> Dear open data advocates,
> I'm writing with very good news. I recently met with several people from the
> MTA and can confirm that some very positive changes are coming in the not too
> distant future. They appear to be on the right track but they haven't hammered
> out all the details yet and have asked us to write them a private letter with
> the things that we think are most important to get right.
> I've written a first draft of this letter, drawing heavily from the previous
> letter and other documents this group has worked on. You can find (and edit)
> the letter here: http://etherpad.c...
> I'd like to send this out by next Monday, so please give feedback and make
> edits before Friday, so we can all agree on a final version before sending it
> to the MTA.
We've received some good feedback and you can see the updated version of
the letter here: http://etherpad.c...
At this point I'd like to avoid making substantial edits (unless there's
something *really* serious that we've missed/must change) and stick to
minor tweaks and fixes. We'll be sending it out early next week, so
please make sure to respond by Monday afternoon.
> Thanks to everyone for all that you've done. We're close!
