Hi, I've been a professional still life photographer in nyc for the past 20 years. Currently I also teach Photoshop at my studio one night per week. Looking to share the creative joy!

What maria is saying about this Meetup Group

Those of you who are new to photography or have never made a living at it have to understand that there is so much more to the business of photography than meets the eye. Everyone seems interested in selling images or sharing them on the web, but fail to understand that there is a proper procedure to do so. Unfortunately today, everyone who has a cell phone thinks they can call themselves a photographer. The proper language in releases is important & justified. How to set up your business is important. Licensing is specific and it must all be in writing. Properly registering your copyright is also important. All the things that Ellen Paul wanted to share with us, but people were too impatient because they felt that their questions weren't answered to their satisfaction. Not a fair way to judge a speaker.
