Hello QSers!

"How has self-tracking your physical activity changed your behavior and life?'

Our next meetup is scheduled for Wed, March 27th and we are very excited to have R/GA, the digital agency behind the Nike+ FuelBand, to host and help organize this special meetup.

What will be a smaller and theme-based meetup, we are going to have several Show&Tell talks centered on tracking physical activity. If you have a story to share, let us know when you RSVP and we'll be in touch.

7:00 - 8:30 pm QS SHOW & TELL TALKS
These will be personal accounts of self-tracking and self-experimentation with a particular emphasis on physical activity.

If you'd like to give a talk, please let us know when you RSVP so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need. We keep the length of presentations to 5 minutes + 5 minutes for Q&A. If you have slides to show, feel free but it's not required.

8:30 - 9:00 pm MORE SOCIAL TIME & NETWORKING
Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have a great time.

QS SPONSORS: OUR THANKS TO R/GA
The creative team behind the Nike+ FuelBand is helping us organize and sponsor this special QS meetup. R/GA is an interactive, digital advertising agency headquartered in New York with offices around the world.

We hope to see you on the 27th.

Steve

Here's something that might interest you: The guest post I have up today on Mark's Daily Apple. It's about tracking and other factors that have lead to great success in the process of losing weight and getting fit. Here's the link: http://bit.ly/YRs6h1 I'd love to know your thoughts. Best, Susan

I wasn't sure if I could make it, but I'm here now. Is the door locked? Anyone able to let me in?

Hi Everyone. I'm looking for someone that might be able to help wrangle some health data for a small web app portal we are working on for the NYC Health Portal Competition. Might anyone know how to get health data (often containing an error or two) extracted and into an easier format? My aim was json but would be happy with XML or even a google table at this point. We only want to demonstrate proof of concept but my studio partner and I (backgrounds in product designer and architecture) are at the limit of our knowledge at the moment. Would anyone be interested in speaking further about how to get health record data from the HL7 XML format into something that could begin to serve as content for the site? ( A few other protocols to mention; the database is accessed via SOAP with a WDSL login / password. )

Feel free to contact me at [masked] or[masked]

Look forward to the upcoming meetup!

Hello - we are currently hosting a Kickstarter for TrafficCOM, a hardware & website platform for quantifying the physical activity of automobiles and bicycles. I would like to demo the platform if possible. http://kck.st/YmfE5t

I am wireframing a self quantifying app, so this meet up seemed like a gift from the heavens.
