I consider myself a novice. I know few regions, and my favorites are spanish: Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Valdepeñas. Of course, I'd love to learn more!
Ribera del Duero's probably my favorite, though I recently had a petit verdot from Almansa which blew me away.
Red, red, and red.
Hmm... I think tempranillo takes the cake for me, though how I mentioned the petit verdot had intriguing flavors, as well as garnacha. Also I've been enjoying quite a few malbecs lately, mostly argentina and chile.
I'll have to say the wine I've been mentioning in each question: Ribera del Duero, with a side of jamón serrano. Delicious! It just has this particular meat like flavor like tripe or pork rind.
Hey everyone! Just moved to NYC and lookin´to meet some good peeps with good tastes!
