After the Navy, Maureen was privileged to continue serving in a series of legal and management positions of growing responsibility, culminating in her appointment as the acting Assistant Secretary for Installations, Environment and Logistics for the U.S. Air Force. Along the way, she served with distinction as Counsel to the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Senator Peter Domenici, Environmental Counsel to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and as Environmental Policy Director at the Nuclear Energy Institute. Her most rewarding work, though, has been teaching graduate courses in Environmental Finance at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University to the bold and bright generations that hold the key to New York's future.
