For those of you who are interested in being regular attendees of meetups, I'd like to get a small group of people together to talk about the meetup for maybe an hour or so. That includes potential venues, ideas for meetups, and general planning (whether or not we will charge dues, etc.)

Please bring ideas about specific venues, as well as what kinds of meetups you would be able to help out with. As the polls stand, we're looking at mostly social meetups and "blogging 101" type meetups, so if you have any contacts for venues or people that would be able to speak, please let me know, even if you can't come on Nov 1st.

So, just an FYI, in the next few weeks, I'm going to be involved with WordCampNYC, and then of course the holidays are coming up not too long after that. I'd like to shoot for our first official meetup to be in January. New Group, New Year. Kind of has a ring to it don't you think? :)

Hey All!

To celebrate the start of summer, we're hosting a Blogger Happy Hour on June 5th (Thursday night). It'll be at Mixx Lounge in the West Village and we've reserved the front room just for us.

A little bit chiller than our usual meetings, please feel free to bring along as many friends, coworkers, significant (or not so significant) others as you'd like! Chat with and get to know your blog friends while enjoying some great happy hour specials including $5 Golden Margaritas. $5 Juicy Watermelon Martinis and 2 for 1 Domestic Beers. There will also be complimentary bar snacks (I'm talking wings, not sketchy peanut and rice cracker combos)
