Stay tuned! Dr.Ron is relocating from Ann Arbor to NY this June and we'll soon announce our next meetup.

Our first monthly meetup was April 9th. We'll meet in a bar and have live performances follow our talks. (location TBD and likely to vary from month to month).

Meet other local Musicians, Managers and Net Labels to talk about growing your career with new business models for the music industry. Share tips on blogging, social networking, video, email marketing, free Google services, graphics for cover art and flier printing, street teams, etc. This group was started by Henry Glucroft, who runs the AirDrop net label and Ron Suarez (aka dr.ron), founder of LoudFeed.com web tools to manage, promote and sell from your own web site. We'll be talking about all kinds of things beyond Loud Feed that you need in your tool chest to grow your fan base and run a real business that supports all of those involved from the musician's to blog writers, videographers and managers.

We have begun to plan a Music Centric Unconference (see Wikipedia) during May in Detroit to overlap with the beginning Detroit Electronic Music Festival. The unconference tagline is "Upward Pressure for a New Music Industry" and we are thus seeking innovators who want to participate in a grassroots movement to create that upward pressure for change that empowers the artist and the independent label.

We're currently sponsored by Loud Feed. Get your music heard with Loud Feed "Tools for Independence" to manage, promote and sell digital music and tickets from your own web site, blog or using widgets on social networks.

We're looking for additional sponsors and organizers, especially for the Unconference. While this group has been started by Loud Feed founder, Ron Suarez, we see this as an Open Project with a grassroots, bottom up style of organization, similar to Open Source software projects.
