Announcing a new meeting for The NY Metro Climbing Meetup Group!
What: First Wed Meetup! Don't miss it!
When: Wednesday, May 28, 7:00 PM
Where: Click the link below to find out!
Meeting Description: Come join us at our next Meetup! The Rock Club will be offering a special beginners climbing course to Meetup members and their guests. For only $25 you'll get our Climbing 101 program. This will get you going in the gym immediately and set the stage for heading outdoors. Either way, this is your chance to get started right.
As usual, everyone is welcome to join us, whether you take the course or not. Bring your friends too, even if they've never tried climbing before. We'll make sure everybody is set up and having a blast. Age and strength don't even matter, everybody has fun. Pizza and soda will also be available for $5.
DETAILS - Please read carefully!
RSVPing and Questions:
If you're attending the course you MUST indicate your intent when you rsvp and preregister with us if you haven't been to TRC before. Also, be aware that the RSVP is a one-way communication. We can read it but we can't respond if you have questions. So, if you have questions, please email TRC directly: [address removed]
The closer to 7pm you arrive, the better. The Climbing 101 program starts at 7:30 sharp. Don't plan on pizza if you're taking Climbing 101, unfortunately there won't be time.
If this is your first Meetup with us, your daypass is free! All you have to do is rent the gear ($9 for shoes and harness). For everyone else, you get a discounted daypass rate of $15. Harnesses and shoes are available for $4.50 each. Pizza and soda are $5 a person. Climbing 101 is $25 including gear - remember to RSVP, space is limited.
Directions & Transportation:
Please save time and aggravation by getting directions from our website (BEFORE you call or email us for directions :-).
If you're coming as a group on Metro North we'll pick you up from the train station. Just give us a call to let us know when you'll arrive. If you need pickup, go to the taxi stand in front of the station building!
There's also a ride share program. The more people who join, the better. Have a look! www.ClimbRockClub.com/carpool
We're looking forward to seeing you soon! All the best,
-Dave and Meghan
