Intro to

"Akka is a toolkit and runtime for building highly concurrent, distributed, and fault tolerant event-driven applications on the JVM."
Akka can be used in Java and/or Scala. We'll take an introductory look at the framework including how you'd scale "up" (more cores) and "out" (across machines) from the same code base.
