Let's Talk Business!

For everyone who has a business, or uses a business, come and learn about great ways to make it GREENER!  If you own a business, you are guaranteed to come away with new ideas to help GREEN your bottom line, or if you are someone who uses businesses, come and discover great information you can share and the critical questions you need to ask the places you support in order to encourage business owners toward sustainability.

Our panel this month will be:

Kristen V.Kristen Van Kley

Resource Solutions Group on Behalf of the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program |[masked] x 3020 | [masked]

Jason Morin, Manager Brighton Car Wash

"At Brighton Car Wash & Detail Center, reducing our carbon footprint is our main goal. Since the summer of 2006, we have explored and implemented many renewable energies and will continue as more are invented in the future. "It's time for a better car wash and a brighter "greener" tomorrow!"

Jason will discuss all of the sustainability measures he has implemented at his business and the financial returns.

Kay McKeen, Director, S.C.A.R.C.E

Schedule a time for SCARCE to come and perform a green audit with your company's Green Team. This is a process in which the SCARCE consultant and green team members tour your office or facility to observe how you manage the building site, energy, water, materials, cleaning products and other potential indoor air hazards. Then, the Green Team receives a written report with a summary of successfully implemented  green initiatives, along with recommendations for important "next steps" to consider. After the Green Audit, a meeting with the Green Team is recommended. If your company does not have a Green Team established, we can help! The meeting involves reviewing the Green Audit, appauding what's working well and discussing which green initiatives to tackle next.
