I married a gamer and now have three gamer children. Along with my sister and a couple of friends, our family has played and playtested several RPGs together.
Mostly old-school D&D style play and other games with a "rules lite" flavor.
OD&D gamer since 1975, has experinenced Amber Diceless and other RPGs over the years. Now a science teacher who still loves to chat about gaming with my students. Has recently discovered 13th Age and is quite intrigued by the game.
The people I met were great. I came to the game basically knowing no one (but my sister) and left knowing four great folks who really helped make my evening a fun one. Seemed like all of the tables were having a great time as well. It would have been fun to lurk for a while just to watch the action in some of the other games, but my game was too fun and kept my attention the whole time.
