Naperville Freaks, Geeks, and Weirdos Message Board › Miniature Painting Classes at Fair Game! 7/6 & 7/20
Fair Game has scheduled 2 miniature painting classes on Saturday, July 6th and Saturday, July 20th! The classes will be taught by Bobby Cohoon, a friend to the store who has been involved in competition painting for several years. Each class will run from 3pm to 6pm, and cost $5 to attend. The money is being used to compensate Bobby for his time.
This is a great chance for anyone looking to up their painting game!
All skill levels welcome!
Topics covered will include...
People are encouraged to bring a model to work on afterward, but you must bring your own supplies. Bobby will be around for a couple hours afterward to answer specific questions and give advice. Some of his own models will also be on display to serve as examples of different techniques.
Cost to attend will be $5. Fair Game can accommodate up to 16 people. <<< LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!
To reserve a spot please contact Fair Game directly at 630-963-0640 or email the store at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional note from Meetup organizers -
Ben and I will be attending this Saturday, July 6th. We will be bringing the free bin of old miniatures along that were donated to our group by Matt. If you need a mini feel free to poke around the bin and pick one out. We will not be able to attend the class on July 20th as we will be attending the summer BBQ at Jason's place, but if you plan on attending the class on the 20th and need some minis to paint from the Meetup stash just send me a message and we'll work something out.
Please remember to bring your own paint supplies! Fair Game carries the Game Color brand of paints. If you're new to painting and want to give it a try some cheap acrylic paints at any hobby store will do just fine.
