hi there!! the group is great- everyone is super friendly and we always have a wonderful time. i know it can be sort of strange going to a function where you don't know anyone, but trust me, these are some of the kindest people you will ever meet.. i really encourage you to come!! hope to meet you soon... melissa

Thanks for your support. I guess a lot of people like this idea. I enjoy listening to natural Japanese conversation at the meetups and have even tried to speak a little. But I get flustered and forget the things I know under the pressure of trying to keep the conversation flowing. The kind of artificial conversation that I am proposing would allow me to build up my familiarity and confidence with the language. I hope we can figure out the logistics of having a meetup of this type.
