Paddle Mud Bay and Blackwater River from Goodland Bridge

Leave from mainland side of Goodland Bridge and paddle to Mud Bay and Blackwater River and return to Bridge via Palm Bay and Hell's Gate. It's a 12-14 mile paddle with few if any spots to get out of Kayaks. Tides dictate a prompt 10:00 AM start. Sea kayaks,PFDs and skirts required. Participate at your own risk. Thanks BoB & Linda--when posting please follow down further on that page & change the RSVP to the number of paddlers you want to limit the trip. I saw your post of 12 to 16 & changed it to 16 for you -- Hope that's ok --Mike

Only organizers can change the number of paddlers, unless you can figure out how to change the default.

Deb, I can't tell, because I'm an assistant organier, but if you would let me know about this - try clicking onto a posted paddling event, go to edit, and see if way, way down at the bottom of the page you can change the number of people allowed to any number you want, or to No Limit. Remember, I'd like to know if it will work for you. Thanks. Tom

Linda and I enjoyed today's paddle. The weather cooperated. It was good to be with such a large group of wonderful people. The trip was made easy because the group stayed together for the entire trip. Maybe we can do it again next year. Bob and Linda

So sorry I missed the paddle, but I was able to have a close encounter with a Florida Scrubjay. Checked off the bucket list. Pictures will post later on Facebook.

Would love to go, but I am headed to Cape Coral to add the Florida Scrub Jay to my life list. This bird is critically endangered due to its specific habitat requirements- the diminished and fragmented scrub regions.
