The Florida Mountains! Paddlers Need to Know of Them - Weds Mar 5 PCPC Meeting!

Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 6:30pm  -  7:45pm

National Park Service Ranger Luke Grommerman of Big Cypress National Preserve will present his program, "Mountains of the Big Cypress."  It's all about those magnificent, gigantic thunderheads towering up to 50,000 feet high that we see every day in the summer.  Every paddler needs to know all that can be learned about thunderheads, because that means lightning and potentially dangerous winds and waves.  And this is your chance to do that!  Especially since WE HAVE OUR MEETING ROOM BACK! PCPC meetings are regularly scheduled on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the North Collier Govt Center at Orange Blossom Drive, just off Airport Rd and across the parking lot from the Main Branch of the Collier County Library. Come to the left (south) corner of the Govt Center.

Remember to pay your dues.  Oh, that's right:

WE DON'T CHARGE DUES.  NO DUES, JUST FUN (and safety!)

As always, after the meeting most of us have an after-the-meeting,-meeting at Boston Beer Garden, Green Tree Shopping Center on Immokalee Rd at the corner with Airport Rd.

WE CAN THROW A MEETING - BE THERE!!!!!!

Thanks, Ranger Luke, for a very informative presentation. Diane and I were out paddling with Ron this morning and the clouds did not lie!
