Come take a journey from the Nile Delta to the swamps of Florida with Big Cypress National Preserve Ranger Patrick Boyce and explore the impact the leviathans of our wetlands - Crocodilians, including Alligators - have had on our collective imagination and why we just can’t imagine a world without them. Patrick's presentation has the appropriately creepy title:
The Eyelids of the Morning!
(Reminds you of Mike Devlin, probably.) Learn how these ancient reptiles have played a role in human culture throughout history (Think: Tarzan movies!) as well as their vital role in the Southwest Florida ecosystem.
PCPC is a free club. No dues...JUST FUN!
PCPC meetings are regularly scheduled on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the North Collier Govt Center on Orange Blossom Drive, just off Airport-Pulling Rd and across the parking lot from the Headquarters Branch of the Collier County Public Library. As always, after the meeting most of us have an after-the-meeting,-meeting at Boston Beer Garden, Green Tree Shopping Center on Immokalee Rd at the corner with Airport Rd.
