Circumnavigate Marco Island

Paddle around Marco Island clockwise from Caxambas. This is not a race. Stay within whistle/shouting distance of fellow paddlers while attempting to maintain a pace of about 4.0 mph including break time. Off water break at Goodland Bridge for about 15 minutes. This would be a good intro to circumnavigation of Marco Island. Please see Facebook group Marco Island Circumnavigation https://www.facebook.com/groups/437495676353271/ for ongoing discussion about this paddle and Marco Island circumnavigation in general. Please wear PFD's and maintain all safety precautions. Everyone is responsible for their own safety.

Lynette, for your Saturday Afternoon Paddle the best launch for easy entry and access to Gulf from Capri would be behind a fence before you get to Blue Heron. Offload there but park across the street at the codo with some gravel park places. The owner of Capri Fish house says its ok for kayakers to park there.

I am not sure if I mentioned it but there is a $4parking fee at the Caxambas launch. There is a little store there where you can pay and get a dash receipt. Please plan to be in the water ready to paddle by 10am.
