    This event is now cancelled. There are about 25 RSVP's, but only 2 people ( thank you to Moyra, Holly), whom have paid to date to confirm their RSVP. Which was needed yesterday/today, latest. It was made it clear on all the literature, gentle reminder personally emailed to all those whom RSVP'ed, and on the main page of websites,meetup's and in the press releases. People think that a RSVP means that they can show up that evening. But, this is a special event, terms made clear. Those of us behind the scenes, have to plan accordingly, in regards to food, beverage, staff, games, prizes, entertainment. It is one thing to be just a member of the group. It is another to be an organizer. As an organizer, I am disappointed and frustrated to say the least. Especially, when near 90 ppl RSVP'd to go to Blue Martini last night ( another meetup), pay a near fortune, yet miss sending a check of $20, within the time frame needed, for an evening of: beer, food, prizes, fun to benefit charity.

    This just a gentle reminder, that for St. Patrick's Day Pot of Gold Party, to please mail in your check, money order on or before March 1, 2013 to: Caritatis, 2316 Pine Ridge Road Suite #38 Naples, Florida. 34109. Also, remember to put a note in your envelope, with your name and your choice of either: Fish and chips or corn beef, cabbage and potato. To plan properly, all RSVP's/Paid in Full are due by March 1, 2013. :)
    Warm Regards,
    Alexis

    Alexis, I am so sorry if I got anything started, that was NOT my intent. The 2 things that I really like about NAN & Paradise (Meetup) is that they are not a dating site, and that they are not a Business Networking Group. With those 2 things out of the way, the only real AGENDA that people have, is to have FUN. So as you can see, when I saw the business card part, I had to ask the question. Thank you for your understanding. This looks to be alot of fun and I plan on being there.

    Business card exchange? I thought this group wasn't sopposed to be a Business Networking group.

      This appears to be a social event providing a service that would be beneficail to our members. Appears Alexis's intent is to promote a disclosed charity, not a business. {let us know if that is not the case}

      Exactly. We have a charity, Caritatis, whose mission is: Charity for Charity. Our focuses are: children with speaicl needs and for the special needs in the community ( hunger, homelessness, help with everyday living). Business cards are for the prized drawings and a fun meet and greet game introduction. There will be other games: Irish Trivia ( so get your game on Rob, Laureen, Marie et al..) :) and other fun. Relaxed atmosphere...Having attended St. Patrick's grade school as a child, I grew to love, love this holiday. So, here is to: rgreen brews, good food, Irish song and dance, Shamrock shakes, ( maybe we will have those, too), the Luck of the Irish, and rainbows and a Pot of Gold all shared with lads and lassies. Leave you with this Irish Blessing: "May the Road rise to meet you.... "
