SCHEDULED POLE WALKING GROUPS: Saturdays 7:30 A.M. from 14th Ave South Beach Access on Naples Beach to Gordon Pass & back. Mondays 5:00 P.M. (OCT TO JUNE) from 14th Ave South Beach Access along Port Royal Beach. Wednesdays 6:30 A.M. from Lowdermilk Park to the Naples Pier & back.
JOIN OUR NORDIC POLE WALKING (or POLE WALKING or NORDIC WALKING) WALKS ON THE BEACH IN NAPLES, SOUTH-WEST FLORIDA. We are a diverse group of walkers, including men & women who are interested in active exercise - as this is not just a stroll on the beach.
NORDIC POLE WALKING IS A LOW-IMPACT OUTDOOR EXERCISE THAT CAN BURN 46% MORE CALORIES OVER JUST WALKING AND CAN BE PERFORMED BY ANYONE ON SOFT OR HARD SURFACES.It is a huge outdoor sport in Europe and was originally created as summer training by cross country skiers in Finland.
First Time Instructions including Pole Rental = $15. We have poles to rent = $5. Annual membership is $10.

NO BAREFOOT POLE-WALKING WITH OUR GROUP!! Please wear walking-sneakers and light outfits for our walking & stretching exercises. We do stretching exercises before, midterm and after our walks. However, its your decision whether you are fit enough to participate in them. After our Saturday walks, we meet for coffee at Fifth Ave Coffee Shop or at Tony's Off Third. Wednesday mornings, walkers meet for breakfast at "Food & Thought" at the Gateway Mall on Rt 41, or at First Watch on the bay across from Lowdermilk Park.
