What is your history with the ukulele?

I've played guitar for a long time and started adding uke to the mix about eight years ago. While living in Md just outside DC I became active with a lot of players and meetup groups in the area. I had the pleasure of playing with Gordon and Debi Velasco of Lilihuna while in Md and we had a regular gig on U St. in DC. Got to meet and jam with a lot of great players while in the DC area. Been to several Uke Festivals and anything ukulele related catches my attention. Having been flea bitten for a while I've managed to acquire a number of instruments and have been going out to some open mics in the area for a while. My first ukulele build was in my apartment kitchen in Md. It's all good fun and the folks I've met through these little four string wonders have been the best people on the planet.

Do you play another instrument?

Guitar for many years. Some banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and as a kid trumpet.

Why do you want to join a ukulele group?

Moving back to RI after being away for five years I was anxious to meet Uke players here but was surprised to find a bit of a void between Ma. and Ct. I'm glad there is a start up here now. I hope I can add to it and help it grow. I just know there are more Ukulele players here and folks who want to learn and have a good time doing it.

Would you be willing to host or lead a ukulele group?

Sure- Lets talk.

Hi All. Friends call me Boz I'm Dave Bosworth formally. Music and art have been in my life ever since I can remember. I'm looking forward to swapping tunes and strumming along with my ukulele friends I haven't met yet.

What Boz is saying about this Meetup Group

Good times- I'm looking forward to the next Meetup with the N Uke S.
