Improv Meetup #3: Seis de Mayo

We will start with some simple improv games and build up to some scene work.

This meetup is for anyone interested in learning and practicing improv. You don't need to be an actor or comedian to enjoy this incredibly fun art form.

You also don’t need to be “funny” or have any experience. This group is for beginners and seasoned improvisers.

Loved the new games, especially the one where we had to think of another line to say. I look forward to growing as an improvisationalist! :-)

Hey, folks! Just a heads-up that we discovered last time that there are TWO Cedarview Drives in this neighborhood, and they do NOT connect! You want to go to the SECOND one! :-)

Anyone who wants some additional improv practice this week might want to check out the play "WXYZ Radio: Drama on Your Dial" at the Darkhorse theater this weekend. I'm going with another Meetup group. If you dress up in 1950s clothing, you might get chosen to sit on stage as part of the "studio" audience! I'm guessing there will be some interaction between the "studio" audience and the play actors (improv!). Info is here: www.groundworkstheatre.com

I attended zanies, took the improve class and was very informative. I would love to attend your improve meet up. I am still working on my comedy material and being around that environment will help me sharpen what I hope is skill lol.

I'm finally free for one now just hoping to make it off the wait list. It would be great to get back into practice.

Barbara is right, being a Lobby Attendant there is a way cushier gig than the local elementary school. And Janice, you and me are going to get along!

Hi I'm Lyle and I'm a janitor! You should let me come because janitors don't have much to live for!

    • Barbara L.

Lyle, you're a janitor at Opryland, which is a pretty swanky gig from what I hear. :-)

Janitors are vital! Who else ya gonna call for sweeps week?
