No Shame Theater

No Shame Theater brings Open-Mic-Night theatrical format to Nashville! They have three simple rules:
1) Create an original theatrical performance
2) Keep it under 5 minutes, and
3) Don't break any rules or laws..

I've attended several of these shows and they are always a lot of fun. You'll see sketches, improv, poetry readings, music, stand up, even juggling. It is always a very welcoming and friendly crowd.

Showtime is 7:30. If you have any interest in performing, sign ups start at 7:00.

Check them out on Facebook at

I couldn't find the admission price, but it is typically $5-8.

Hey guys! I just got to the venue and found out they have cancelled the show due to illness. I apologize!

I REALLY hate canceling at the last minute, and HATE missing what I'm sure will be a very fun evening... but I just worked a 10-hour day, and I have another 10-hour day tomorrow, and my body is screaming "SLEEP!" So I'm gonna go pass out now... ZZZZZZZZZZ.........

Sorry. I won't be able to make it. I came down with some evil virus and my doctor is telling me to stay away from people. This makes me sad. :-(

I just found their event page for the Friday performance (from their FB page). Apparently entry is free for performers, but there's an $8 minimum fee for spectators. So... play or pay!!! #hyperventilating

Hi Barbara! I'm not planning performing this time, but would love to in the future. Maybe we can work on something?

Yes! I think you should recite (very seriously) some ridiculous poetry, and I should (very seriously) do some ridiculous interpretive dancing during your recital. :-) Or we could do something else entirely. :-)

This sounds like a lot of fun and definitely something to try out in the future.
