4th of July KAYAK RODEO

Kayak Water Polo! Wienie bite! Obstacle Course! FOOD!! PRIZES! If you don't have a kayak - no problem. Borrow one of mine to get out and play. It's a kayak fun day. Park your car, bring your camp chair and pick one - or all! - of the fun things we'll do.

Don't worry about packing a cooler - $15 covers the charge for all you can eat food, drink and prizes. The menu includes BBQ pulled pork and chicken, baked beans and my world famous potato salad. Soft drinks, ice tea and water included, too. If you want the al-kee-haul kinda drink, bring it on. I'll provide mixers and ice.

Anyone bringing their own boat, drive down near the water, unload and then park your car at the back of the field if the parking lot is full.

Arrive around 1-ish - fun starts at 2 p.m. with the obstacle course. Next comes Water Polo followed by the Wienie Bite. You gotta come to find out the details on THAT game!

After it's dark, we'll paddle up around the bend to watch the fireworks display that those fun-lovin' folks at Shady Cove Marina set off.

Bring a change of clothes because no doubt someone or three will have an 'out of boat' experience during kayak polo. Bring camp chairs, blankets to spread out and sit on - come on by and stay as long or as little as you want.

If you think you might need to camp, you are welcome to bring your tent and stay.

I'll have a couple canopies set up that will take care of a few drizzles but if it looks like rain for most of the day, event will be canceled and money refunded. You got nothing to lose - sign up and spend the day with a bunch of crazy kayakers having nothing but fun!
