I see we are both members of Nashville Hiking Meetup.
I've been busy this summer and gotten out of shape. I'm working my way back into hiking again. I have done some but not much back pack hiking. I have the equipment and want to be a more active part of the Back pack group eventually when I feel I can keep up. Any words of wisdom?

Thanks Cynthia, I'm looking forward to it too. It will be some time before I can do anything major, even an overnight local hike will take a few weeks. Purdy, my AT at Vandy, is working me hard to make up for the time he was gone and that will get me where I want to go. He's great if you ever need physical therapy.

I would be interested in your planned trip next August along the AT. I can't attend the meetings unfortunately because I am in school full time and working on the weekends. With that said, I was hoping to get some back packing during winter break. Are there anythings planned from mid December to mid January?

Hi Cynthia- I have decided to not drive to Nashville tomorrow for the Thursday night presentation. The incoming winter storm has me concerned about driving on the roads and possibly getting stranded somewhere. I emailed Raymond and Frank Carroll earlier today and asked that they update the site. I will reschedule at a later date.
