APOLLO 13 (1995)

This movie is not about spaceships, any more than Homer's Odyssey is about Sirens and Cyclopses. It's about men and women in a desperate situation. Imagine being stranded in interplanetary space with no hope of getting your spaceship home, no hope of rescue, and nowhere to land. Your supplies of air, water and power will be exhausted within hours. After that, you, your crewmates and your spaceship become just another dead mass orbiting the Sun. Forever. Then, imagine that you are stuck down here on Earth, watching helplessly as the drama of your husband's peril in space plays out before the world. This is the prospect that stared Jim Lovell, Marilyn Lovell, Jack Swigert, Fred Haise and Patt Haise in the face during the Spring of 1970.

It's not the destination. It's the journey.

Starring Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise, Ed Harris and Kathleen Quinlan. Direcred by Ron Howard.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
