April is a family black sheep living with her boyfriend Bobby in a New York City dump. She decides to invite her parents and siblings over to her apartment for Thanksgiving diner. Bobby goes on an odyssey for a nice suit to impress the family; April is on an odyssey to cook a nice dinner in a Manhattan walk-up without a functioning stove; and family is on an odyssey from their nice home in suburbia into the big city.

This is a small, sweet, affecting film that cost $300,000.00 to make. Katie Holmes as April and Patricia Clarkson as her mother Joy both give excellent performances. Also starring Derek Luke as Bobby, Oliver Platt as dad, and featuring Sean Hayes as one of April's many interesting neighbors.

If the power comes back on in the next few minutes I'll send out another email.

Seems unlikely the power will be back on by 7:00 so we will probably reschedule.

Hi' everyone! Just got home and the electricity is out at my house!! It's out in the entire block. I have reported it to NES but I've no idea when the electricity will be back on.

I'm going to try to make this movie. Is it ok if I bring a blanket?
