I love biopics, films with historical settings, films that have verbal sparring and witty retorts. I also love a good romcom on occasion.
Is "a lot" an acceptable answer? :) But really, probably 2/3 in theatres and 2 or so a week at home (I usually have one playing in the background when I'm working in the evening).
Too hard! Not so soon after the Oscars! I love epics so Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, and Argo were all seen at least twice. I finally saw Django Unchained a couple of weeks ago. I'm not entirely sure I "liked" it, but it was definitely one of the best movies I've seen this last year.
Ebert. I kind of started reading his reviews as a kid. I don't always agree with him. I remember him writing with a tone of derision at the conduct of Anne Hathaway in Princess Diaries 2 and how she acted like an 8th grade girl. My best friend and I (who were in 8th grade then) rolled our eyes. Of course it would appeal to 8th graders. Didn't he know what the target demo was? Lol. I may have to start reading Siskel as well.
Yes. As previously mentioned, Django Unchained was a film I was originally hesitant to see. Once seen, I was able to understand many of the underlying themes and messages and walk away knowing I had seen an incredibly well done film.
Hi! I'm a Caitlin. I'm a 22 year old Nashvillian who loves escaping into a film. Can't wait to watch some excellent ones with you guys!
