I have enjoyed variety of films since I was a girl- loved to be scared with "Out of This World" late night; loved Red Skeleton, Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett; "The Wizard of Oz", Debbie Reynolds as Tammy, Doris Day, and Cher..
I love such a variety of movies - I set up Old Yellow and Moby Dick on reels for Movie night at the county library I worked during high school. I loved Mash at the drive in. I loved Funny Girl and Love Story... -Classics -Comedy -Mystery -Musicals -Science Fiction -Drama -Romance -Children's A bowl of popcorn and I will laugh, clinch my fists, cry, scream, or whatever reaction comes naturally during a good movie.
I saw the Hunger Games, Avengers and Dark Shadows. I watched several oldies and HBO movies at home. Not to mention the season Finales on some of my television series.
Omg- Must say Avatar I didn't see that one on new release....but thouroughly enjoyed it!
Could go either way....
Yes- Prefer to be entertained but I do enjoy a challenge in rote. Raised four sons who know all Disney movies and who still go to midnight preshows.... and take their mom to a movie for her birthday or Mother's Day and include that heavy butter popcorn and an old fashion Coca Cola:)
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all in this group and the discussion was most enlightening. Wayne is a gracious host in a very comfortable home. I look forward to future meetings!
Hi. It was good to meet you on Friday. Here's a link to the horror meetup where I am showing Phantom of the Opera and the sequel on July 14. Also, the 3rd movie meetup in town that's free is the classic movie meetup. On June 18, I'm showing Immortal Beloved about Beethoven. Jane shows a lot of films at a theatre she has access to downtown as well in the classic meetup.
Oops! Just noticed that you signed up for "A Handmaid's Tale." See you Friday night. I look forward to meeting you.
Welcome to "Nashville Pick-a-Flick," Jay! Hope you see a movie on our schedule that interets you soon. If you have any questions, just let me know!
