I wasn't aware of R at the time of this Oct. 13, 2013 MeetUp entitled "Cooperative analysis of shared dataset".
So, I'm wondering if Philip or someone else might tell me a bit re: what was covered in this particular MeetUp.
The reason I ask is I routinely need to work on analyses with collaborators not in Nashville, and being able to work collaboratively, concurrently, and seamlessly on the same R session would be a tremendous help. R Studio Server and desktop virtualization might help some, but I suspect are far from ideal.
More generally, I was thinking of proposing a "R: Streamlining Collaboration and Deepening Audience Understanding " MeetUp that would include not only collaboration at the level of shared-access to datasets, but address collaboration at all possible points in the workflow (i.e., importing data, data transformations, analyses, and presentation, both static and interactive, e.g., knitr, slidy, shiny). Or split across two MeetUps.

Oops, typo in first sentence: "...not aware of Nashville RUG..."
It was good to get an opportunity to speak with each other and see how others are doing things.

Have we chosen a data set for this yet?
