Come on out to our inaugural meeting! We'll start off by getting to know one another with some no-pressure introductions. Then we'll talk briefly about the group itself and gather ideas for future meetups.
With the preliminaries out of the way, we'll have a little fun making our own flip books. Don't worry if you're not a professional animator: bouncing balls and stick figures are quite welcome.
After we've animated ourselves silly, organizer Matt Jordan will give a brief survey of the free and cheap tools at your disposal if you want to go beyond the flip book. We'll talk about both hardware and software and finish with an overview of how to get your creation on YouTube so that you can get a billion views and retire to the Bahamas. (Okay, maybe not that last bit about the billion views and the Bahamas, but definitely the rest of it.)
It'll be fun and it'll be animated, so please join us for our first ever meetup at the Green Hills branch of the Nashville Public Library on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00 PM. We're looking forward to seeing you all.
